The Department of Infrastructure (DOI) have started footway clearance works between Bishopscourt and Ballaugh.
Work started yesterday (March 11) to scrape back vegetation that had grown out onto the surface of the footway and so reducing the width available for pedestrians.
The DOI will be working from just north of Bishopscourt and will travel north out of Michael towards the general direction of Ballaugh.
Bishopscourt works
As this work will require one lane to be closed, temporary traffic lights will be used to maintain two way traffic.
A temporary 40mph speed limit will be in place, with a drop down to 20mph when passing the work site.
Please be aware the location of traffic lights will shift as work progresses.
Temporary restrictions
There also will be a temporary 40mph speed limit in the area of Rhencullen to Kirk Michael Village whilst footway clearance work is ongoing.
Temporary traffic lights will also be in place whilst works are taking place.
This continues similar work that was done last year between Douglas and Ballacraine and Ballacraine to Cronk Y Voddy.

Again, there will be a drop down to 20mph when passing the work site.
