Out with the daffs, in with the DOI

Pot hole patching is underway on Port St Mary High Street after Michelle Haywood MHK called out the Department of Infrastructure (DOI).

Over the weekend the Rushen MHK took to unorthodox methods of filling in the pot holes by planting daffodils in them.

Haywood says the DOI’s patching “is a temporary solution to some of the very worst holes, and doesn’t take away from the need to get the road replacement scheme approved and funded”.

She did add that “it might delay me buying geraniums for the summer planting”.

Haywood says she “had productive discussions with the DoI Minister today” and wants to thank him for working to get a long term solution in play.
