As promised in Tynwald last month, Rushen MHK Michelle Haywood has highlighted the biggest pot holes in Port St Mary High Street by planting daffodils.
Yesterday (March 16), with the assistance of a couple of residents she has done just that.
On her Facebook page, Haywood said: “Thank you to the bus drivers and car drivers that drove carefully past them.
“I know they won’t last….but if the pot holes are still there in the summer I will be planting geraniums.”
Her planting of the daffodils is to call out the Department on Infrastructure (DOI) and the “disastrous” state of the road in the south of the island.
She says she “will keep on drawing attention to the disastrous state of this road until DoI actually sorts out fixing it”.
The Rushen MHK says she hopes “not to have to consider planting mini Xmas trees or winter pansies”.
