University College Isle of Man (UCM) will be hosting it’s final degree-level, undergraduate and postgraduate applicant event before the new academic year.
The event on June 27, is also open to potential new intakes who are still considering joining UCM this September.
Running from 2:30pm – 4:30pm at UCM’s Nunnery Campus, it is a chance for people who have already applied to study an undergraduate degree, degree-level or postgraduate course at UCM in September, to meet with the lecturers and fellow students.
As well as being an opportunity for people who have not made their final decision about University, whether to go straight into work, leave the Island to study or choose UCM.
Undergraduate and Postgraduate event
The event is an informal occasion where offer holders can engage in some fun activities related to their course, attend a mini lecture, meet the academic staff, find out more about the course content and meet others in their cohort.
Current students will share their experience of studying at UCM and share ‘top tips’ for degree level study. Applicants are being asked to register their attendance.
UCM’s Higher Education Development Manager, Gail Corrin said: “The applicant event was something we introduced last year, with great success.
“It gives people who have an offer to study with us in September a chance to meet other students in their group, get to know their lecturer and look forward to starting their studies with confidence in September.
“It’s also a good opportunity for anyone who still hasn’t fully made up their mind.”
