Emergency services are responding to a serious incident in Douglas this morning.
A road closure is currently in place outside The Best Western Palace Hotel and Casino on the Promenade.
The pavement directly outside the hotel is closed as well as the carriageway, therefore preventing full access to vehicles along the Promenade.
Access can still be gained to the hotel and casino via the main entrance into the car park. The road closure then extends to Palace View Terrace which is the lane that runs parallel to the end of the hotel and casino building on the Onchan side. Access can be gained to the residential buildings.
There is no disruption to the walkway on the seaside of the Promenade.
This road closure is likely to remain in place during the morning.
