A local charity, Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Isle of Man, held a TT-themed day for its riders.
TT rider Marcus Simpson came down to support the event, and the Tourist Trophy itself was there for the youngsters to see.
The charity which bases its lessons at the Guilcagh stables in Andreas, is organised and run by volunteers, and relies entirely on donations to continue the brilliant work it does.
RDA provides positive horse experiences for anyone with additional needs on the island.
RDA goes from strength to strength
The charity is going from strength to strength, and has entered riders in the Virtual National Championships for the first time in the charities history.
This a monumental step for the charity and its riders, most of whom had never completed a dressage test before, let alone competed.
RDA has 12 competitors entering in dressage and countryside challenge (an assault course for horse and rider).
All entries were videoed on island at the Guilcagh Stables on Good Friday (March 29).
Virtual National Championships
The RDA Virtual National Championship is a streamed event from November 15 to 17.
Chairman Joan Waters said: “We are incredibly proud of what our riders have achieved so far already.
“RDA IOM really wanted to enter into the Virtuals with all of our older riders so everyone has the opportunity to compete on a National scale.
“We could not have made it happen without Rose, her fabulous team and horses at the Guilcagh stables, donations from the amazing Manx public and the dedication of the riders & their families.
“I for one can’t wait to watch our competitors in November go out there and do us proud.”
