Are you sick and tired of April showers? By showers, I mean constantly having waterproofs on and questioning whether I am developing webbed feet.
A cloudy start to the day today (April 13), with allegedly a few showers in the afternoon.
The good news is that the Met Office has forecast bright or sunny intervals developing later in the day.
And if you weren’t sick of feeling like Piglet in the wind, there’s more of that forecast too, as a fresh to strong southwest wind will swing to the west as those showers clear through.
The best temperature is around 12°C.
Sunday? More showers
Tomorrow (April 14) will be bright with some sunny spells and one or two (the Met Office’s words, not mine) passing showers, before turning cloudy later in the day.
Guess what is going to arrive in the evening? You won’t. Hold your breath, lads; rain is arriving during the evening.
Wind will be West or SW 15-20 locally 20-25, backing South or SW 25-30 gusts 40 during the evening, locally 30 gusts 40-45, then veering West later.
Visibility will be alright when it’s not raining, but it will become moderate or poor in the rain later, with hill fog developing.
Next week
No, the ground won’t be drying up, and no, we won’t be experiencing COVID-time weather. More rain and f****** wind.
It will be ‘quite’ windy with bright or sunny spells and scattered showers.
When the Met Office says ‘quite windy’ it leaves comments for Monday of ‘strong to gale force winds’, so yeah, quite windy.
It will be a West or NW 25-30 gusts, 40 locally 30-35 gusts, 45-50, decreasing 20-25, locally 25-30 gusts, 35-40.
Tuesday (April 16) will actually be holy ****, mostly dry and bright, with sunny spells! Although there will be a few isolated showers, obvs.
Wind will be NW 20-25, locally 25-30 gusts 35-40, decreasing to 15-20.
Have a mega weekend. I’ll be living in waterproofs and sweating as it’s all of a sudden decided to be rather warm but still wet. Yum.
