MNH launch digital guide to the Manx Museum on Bloomberg Connects

Manx National Heritage (MNH) have launched a new digital Manx Museum guide on The Bloomberg Connects app.

It is an ‘easily accessible’ free digital guide where you can explore content from numerous cultural organisations.

Wherever you are in the world, you can access a range of content, either to add to your experience whilst visiting in person, to enjoy from the comfort of your own home, or whilst on the move.

Manx Museum

The Manx Museum’s guide, which focuses on the National Art Gallery and highlights from the collections, is an exciting addition to the wide range of cultural institutions currently represented on the app.

Katie King, Manx National Heritage Curator for Art and Social History, said: “We were really honoured to be invited by Art UK and Bloomberg Connects to join the prestigious list of cultural institutions on the Bloomberg Connects app.

“They provided full training and support to help us develop our guide to the Manx Museum.

“We have enjoyed being able to use the innovative features to interpret our galleries in a new way, which will also enable us to share stories from our collections to a worldwide audience.”

The guide

King says that one of the galleries helps visitors explore is the National Art Gallery – which has just reopened with a vibrant new look.

The guide shares audio commentaries from Manx National Heritage’s Collections team about artworks currently on display and how it cares for them.

It also allows MNH to reveal more fascinating facts about key objects from the archaeology, natural history and social history galleries, as well as objects from its stored collections.

Take a look at what’s in store by visiting Manx National Heritage’s guide on the Bloomberg Connects app.
