It’s a big weekend, guys. We will get to witness the mystical legend we’ve been dreaming of seeing since September: the sun. And it is my dear brother’s 30th birthday.
Gather the troops and find the factor 50 as we brace ourselves for a day of sunshine and, no doubt, sunburn.
Going to let you into a fun fact here, Barcelona is only forecast to be 3°C warmer than our tropical island today (May 11).
The Ronaldsway Met Office hasn’t been d**k teasing too much this week, as the build-up to tomorrow has been fairly consistent.
Bugger all wind, a wee bit of cloud, and a maximum temperature of a very warm 20°C.
Is that.. RAIN?!
I got you there, didn’t I? It was a bit of a false-hope situation, but not entirely.
A little more cloud around tomorrow (May 12) with a small risk of a few showers in the afternoon or evening – give us a fecking break; all we ask is for a week or so of heat. I NEED A TAN.
There will also be a light to moderate southeast wind and a top temperature of 17°C; it isn’t cold, so that’s good news. Can I tan in that? Genuine question.
Outlook
Here’s a tip for those thinking about next week’s weather: just don’t. Maybe I should just end the forecast here, because it turns out to be a bit, well, sh*t.
It’s not proper sh*t, just like a bit of flirty sh*t. Although it may rain, it is still going to be warm. I swear to God if we now get thunder storms, I’m out.
Monday (May 13) will be cloudy with rain at times (2-5mm), wind will increase to 15-20mph, but we will have highs of 15°C.
More rain is forecast for Tuesday (May 14), and although the Met Office says ‘light rain’, I just don’t know whether to believe them.
Anyway, make the most of Saturday and Sunday, as next week isn’t looking as sexy.
Also, if you see my brother, Sam Morrey, on Sunday, make sure to wish him a happy 30th birthday!
He will be fuming I’ve called him out like this, but frankly, I don’t care. For the awful pictures he has posted of me on the internet for the world to see, he should be grateful I was kind.
