The Lieutenant Governor, His Excellency Sir John Lorimer and his wife Lady Philippa Lorimer will be signalling the start of this year’s new year dip in Douglas.
The event is being organised by Breast Cancer Now (Registered IOM Charity 1200) in association with Beach Buddies and will take place at 1pm on Queen’s Promenade in Douglas.
His Excellency and Lady Lorimer will also be taking the plunge with the dippers.
Lady Philippa is a regular sea swimmer as she is a member of the Manx Blue Tits group; She recently made her 300th dip this year.
