Manx Financial Group (MFG) has announced a significant leadership change at its wholly owned subsidiary Edgewater Associates Limited (Edgewater).
Richard Taylor will assume the role of Managing Director (MD) at the Associates, succeeding Sandra Cardwell.
MFG said its “delighted” that Richard is stepping in as the new Managing Director, saying:
“Richard brings a wealth of knowledge in compliance, risk management, and business development, equipping him ideally to spearhead innovative growth and sustain our focus on customer-oriented services at Edgewater.
New role at Edgewater
Sandra, who has been instrumental in steering the company’s growth and success, will be stepping down from her role as Managing Director to take on a new challenge as a Non-Executive Director at Manx Care, as well as taking up the position of Director of Client Relations at Edgewater.
Sandra Cardwell said: “As I transition from my role as Managing Director to take on new challenges, I reflect on my journey with Edgewater with immense pride. It has been a privilege to lead such a dynamic team and contribute to the company’s growth. Richard is an outstanding choice to take Edgewater forward.”
Succession planning
Succession planning has been in place for a considerable time and under Richard’s leadership, Edgewater is set to be marked by innovation along with maintaining the company’s customer-focused approach.

My aim is to foster and expand upon the legacy of innovation and dedication to customers that Sandra has so brilliantly set in place. His strategy will be to maintain the ‘personal touch’ in customer interactions, a hallmark of the company’s service.
Transition
