The Emergency Services Joint Control Room is raising money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service by holding a raffle.
It is raising funds as part of its International Control Room Week celebrations which runs from October 21 to October 27.
Twelve months ago, ESJCR raised over £3800 for two local charities as part of the initiative.
GNAAS
This year it is raising much needed funds for GNAAS who also cover the Isle of Man.
The control room staff have needed to mobilise their helicopter on multiple occasions to incidents on the island, assisting the Isle of Man Emergency Services where quick transfers of patients to the UK for specialist treatment may be needed.
GNAAS’ work is entirely voluntary and the costs of running such a fantastic service are high so the control room is hopeful it can help a bit towards these costs.
Raffle
This list is being added to daily and will at least double in size with more prizes:

If you fancy buying some raffle tickets they are £2 per strip and if you know anybody who works in the Control Room – they will have access to raffle ticket books and will gladly arrange this for you.
If you don’t know anybody in the Control Room and would still like to buy some tickets, please contact the control room via its social media pages.
The draw will take place on October 27.
