Christa Cain has been rewarded for her outstanding performances by being awarded a place in the Elite Women’s field at this Sunday’s Valencia Marathon.
She will be number 284 and will be wearing a bib marked ‘CHRISTA’.
Being part of the elite field means that she will avoid the mass start with thousands of others, and she should have a clear run all the way with runners of similar standard around her.
Christa is in the form of her life at present, and despite a recent heavy racing schedule she can be confident of an excellent performance on Sunday morning. Her current Marathon personal best is 2:42:12.
This will be a massive event for Valencia, the eastern Spanish city which suffered such tragedy in the recent floods.
