It was a disappointing home defeat for FC Isle of Man in Saturday evening’s Premier Division match against Charnock Richard.
With no goals in either net by half time, it was the Ravens who took the lead in front of a decent local crowd in the first few minutes after the break.
Sean Doyle put one away in the 48th minute followed by a Frank Jones strike less than ten minutes later.
With a comfortable lead for the Manx side, the Charnock retaliation began and the Lancashire side whacked three goals in to the Ravens net in just four minutes and took the lead.
Punishing the Ravens, Charnock’s Nathan Nickeas put another one away in the 78th minute making it 2-4 to the visitors.
Frank Jones fightback
With time ticking FC Isle of Man’s Frank Jones scored his second goal as a fightback began to take hold.
But not content, the visitor’s Kevin Spinelli (90+9) struck in a fifth goal in the dying minutes of extra time to give Charnock the points.

There was fairly good attendance at the Bowl, with 992 fans watching what was described as entertaining football.
The win puts Charnock Richard on 36 points sitting one place above the Ravens (also on 36 points) in the North West Counties Premier Division.
FC Isle of Man have played 27 games with Charnock only having played 21.
